ILLUSTRATIVE, NOT CUSTOMER DATA

Podcast show-notes draft outline

This is a fictional, synthetic example, not a live preview or a real customer recording. Its sample output is not AI-generated. Nothing here starts transcription or AI work.

After transcription completes, click Generate show notes on the saved job. The separate Create from transcript tool is also available.

How this workflow works

  1. Choose an episode recording

Upload a saved podcast audio or video file or paste a supported public episode link. Private or unsupported media may require uploading your own lawful file.

  2. Finish the episode transcript

Create an eligible transcription job and wait for completion. AI show notes require a completed transcript saved to your account.

  3. Generate show notes

Sign in, open your completed transcript, and select Generate show notes beside that job. Alternatively use Create from transcript and choose Show notes in your library AI tools. AI usage limits apply.

  4. Edit before publishing

Review the AI draft against the source, especially guest names, summary claims, quoted language and timestamps.

A publishable draft, not merely text

Episode notes can summarize the conversation, mention key topics and organize timestamps when available. Your source transcript stays available so you can check names and quotations.

A real two-stage workflow

This landing starts transcription, not immediate AI notes. After a saved transcript completes, sign in and click Generate show notes on that job. The Create from transcript AI page remains an alternative.

Episode links or recorded files

Start with an accessible public YouTube or supported podcast URL. If a site restricts playback or a feed is private, upload an eligible audio file you are allowed to use.

Show notes need editing

AI drafts can omit context, invent details or propose incorrect chapter times. Check URLs, names, claims and timestamps against the original before publishing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make show notes from a public podcast link?

First complete transcription of a supported public episode link, then sign in and use Create from transcript → Show notes for the saved job.

Are show notes generated before transcription finishes?

No. This is a two-stage workflow. AI notes require a completed transcript you own; the public form does not itself produce an AI note.

Does using the AI notes feature require a login?

Yes. A guest may try an eligible transcription preview, but a saved completed transcript and Create from transcript require signing in. AI limits apply.

Can I upload a saved MP3 or M4A episode?

Yes. Open LongScribe, upload a supported file and complete transcription before choosing Create from transcript → Show notes.

Are generated quotes and timestamps verified?

No. AI show notes are an editable draft. Compare suggested quotes, links, topic claims and chapter timestamps to the original recording.
