Use the file picker above for an authorized MP4 up to 90 MB on Free or 1 GB on Premium. A larger Premium file needs the main app's chunked uploader; a supported public video URL follows a different workflow. Monthly minutes do not override individual file and duration limits.

Use the supported URL importer rather than uploading a file. An inaccessible private video is not made public by pasting a link.
Signed-in Free: 60 minutes across 20 recordings per month. Paid plans offer separate eligibility and limits. The no-account demo can be preview-only; upload size, duration, job count and monthly quotas still apply. A completed transcript does not guarantee optional AI enrichment.

Choose a saved authorized MP4 in the form above. This quick uploader accepts up to 90 MB. For a larger eligible Premium file up to 1 GB, use the separate chunked uploader in the main app. Keep this tab open during the transfer.
Yes. Choose a saved MP4 with an audible speech track using the file picker on this page. Keep the tab open until upload completes; processing may continue in the background. Review the time-linked transcript in your account and export TXT or timed SRT subtitles. The quick Free uploader has a 90 MB file limit; eligible Premium files up to 1 GB use the main app's separate upload. Monthly minutes, per-job duration and file size are independent limits. The service does not OCR words visible only in the video frames.
LongScribe listens to the MP4's audio track. It does not read text appearing only in silent slides, images or screen recordings with no speech.
If your video is already hosted on a supported publicly accessible platform, use the separate video-to-text URL importer. Do not publish private MP4 files solely to make them available to a transcription service.
Review speaker names, numbers and quoted claims against the original recording. Eligible completed signed-in jobs can export TXT, DOCX, SRT and JSON. SRT is timed subtitle text, not captions burned into the video.
A monthly transcription allowance is not permission to upload one recording of arbitrary size or length. Each job must also fit your plan's per-file size, maximum recording duration and other eligibility rules.
Direct uploads are capped at 90 MB on the Free plan; uploads can be up to 1 GB on Premium (including Premium Pro) via chunked upload. Supported public URLs are fetched server-side and do not use the browser direct-upload limit.
Yes. Use the MP4 file picker. The quick uploader supports eligible files up to 90 MB on Free or 1 GB on Premium.
Premium and Premium Pro have a separate eligible chunked upload path up to 1 GB; per-job duration and other limits apply.
No. MP4-to-text recognizes spoken audio, not on-screen writing or slides with no narration.
Eligible completed signed-in jobs support SRT alongside TXT, DOCX and JSON. Verify speech and timings first.
Keep it open until the file upload is accepted. The accepted transcription job can continue afterward.

Yes, for eligible uploaded MP4 speech. Use the 90 MB Free quick uploader, or the separate eligible Premium uploader up to 1 GB. Review the timestamped text, then export TXT or timed SRT after the signed-in job finishes. It does not transcribe silent slide text.
