TIKTOK VIDEO TO TEXT
Transcribe accessible TikTok videos to text
THE FINISHED RESULT
A transcript you can actually work with
Search the text, jump back to the exact moment in the video, fix a name, then export the format your workflow needs.
Long recordings keep processing in the background.
Search the finished transcript using clickable timestamps.
Export the result as text, subtitles, Word or JSON.
How do I generate a TikTok transcript?
Paste the URL of a public TikTok video containing speech. When its audio is available, LongScribe generates an editable timestamped transcript and separate SRT subtitles. Photo-only and restricted posts may not work.
TikTok transcription quick answer
Copy the link to an accessible public TikTok video (not a photo post), paste it into the URL form above and start transcription. Review names and timestamps, then export the transcript as TXT, DOCX or JSON or download timed SRT subtitles. This works only when LongScribe can access the actual media and spoken audio.
How to transcribe a TikTok
Open the public TikTok video and copy its video URL. Paste it in the form, start the job, review the recognized speech and export the format you need. Background music, overlapping speakers and fast speech can lower accuracy, so check quotations before reuse.
Why a TikTok link may be unavailable
TikTok can return 'Video not available' for a public-looking link when the post was removed, is restricted or the source cannot supply the media to LongScribe. The app cannot bypass privacy, login, age or regional controls. If you own an authorized original recording, upload the file instead within the normal upload limit.
TikTok photo posts and silent clips
The public video URL form is designed for TikTok video recordings. Photo slideshows and posts without accessible spoken video/audio may not provide a transcribable recording. Instrumental music without speech does not produce meaningful spoken-word text.
Captions for Shorts and Reels
LongScribe exports SRT as a separate timed subtitle file, plus editable text. It does not add permanent captions to the TikTok video itself. Import SRT into a compatible video editor and check timing before publishing.
Free, no install
Try an eligible short public video in the browser. The normal LongScribe Free allowance is 60 minutes and 20 recordings per month. A full job may require signing in, and source access and per-job limits still apply. A failed inaccessible source is not a promise that any TikTok link can be retrieved.
Repurpose content across channels
Turn a 60-second TikTok into a tweet thread, a blog intro or a newsletter blurb — the transcript gives you a ready-made first draft.
Dozens of languages
Auto-detect the spoken language or set it manually. LongScribe supports dozens of languages, so you can transcribe TikToks in one of the supported languages.
Edit, search and share
Fix the transcript in the browser, search it by timestamp and share it with a public link.
Example prompts after transcription
Ask LongScribe: "Extract the hook, key claims and strongest quotable line from this TikTok transcript." Answers can be grounded in the completed transcript instead of relying on the source title alone.
Frequently asked questions
How do I transcribe a TikTok video?
Paste an accessible public TikTok video link in LongScribe. For supported media, review the timestamped speech transcript and export TXT, DOCX, JSON or SRT subtitles.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The normal LongScribe Free allowance is 60 minutes across 20 recordings per month. An eligible short video may be previewed without signing in; full jobs and source access have separate restrictions.
Why does TikTok say Video not available?
The source may be deleted, private, restricted or unreachable to LongScribe. The app cannot bypass source restrictions. If you own the original file, you can upload it instead within your plan allowance.
Can I transcribe TikTok photo posts?
A TikTok photo slideshow is not the same as an accessible public video recording. These posts may not provide a supported audio/video source; upload an authorized original media file if it contains speech.
Does LongScribe add captions directly onto my TikTok?
No. LongScribe exports an editable transcript and timed SRT subtitle file for a compatible editor; it does not burn captions into the video.
Can I use the subtitles directly in my editor?
Yes. Download the SRT file for your video editor, or copy the text into your caption tool.
Which languages are supported?
Dozens of languages, with automatic detection or manual language selection.
