MP3 recordings suitable for transcript JSON
Use recordings with understandable spoken audio that you may lawfully process. Low bitrate, music and people speaking at once can obscure words; file extensions do not guarantee decoding.
The JSON structure your program can read
The standard file has a title and segments array, with text and numeric start/end times in seconds. Validate fields in your own code and do not depend on undocumented optional metadata.
Speech transcripts differ from MP3 frame data
This export does not represent audio sample arrays, codec frames, cover art or ID3 tags. Use an audio-metadata or signal-processing tool for those separate tasks.
Cross-check quotations and segment boundaries
Transcript times approximate speech segments rather than certifying each word. Replay names, money amounts and dates before publishing or making automatic decisions.
One MP3 job, five document formats
A completed job can provide TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON without five transcriptions. Full access needs an account; anonymous processing may provide only a shortened preview.
How to turn MP3 speech into JSON
- Choose an authorized .mp3 audio recording containing audible speech. The quick form displays its file-size limit; larger eligible Premium recordings require the main app's chunked uploader.
- Upload to begin AI speech-to-text. Wait for the job to finish, then check people, numbers and timestamps in the transcript.
- On the completed job, open Download on the completed job and select JSON. The download is a structured JSON transcript.
Format warning: Low-bitrate MP3 artifacts may hide consonants and quiet voices.
Export detail: JSON represents transcript segments/metadata, not decoded media bytes. A recording without understandable speech cannot yield meaningful transcript text.
Free account: 60 transcription minutes across 20 jobs per month, subject to per-job, file-size and source restrictions. Trying without an account can return a shortened preview instead of a full downloadable job.
Browse all supported input/output formats. For large recordings, go through the main uploader; you can select the same export format after processing.

Frequently asked questions
Does MP3 to JSON create sound sample arrays?
No. It creates a text transcript and segment times, not PCM samples or MP3 frames.
What are JSON timestamps measured in?
Standard start and end values are numeric seconds and may require manual checking.
Can I parse the transcript with a script?
Yes. Read the title and segments array and validate the actual fields.
Can the same MP3 yield SRT and JSON?
Yes. One completed job offers multiple transcript downloads.
Should I trust automatically recognized names?
Check names and figures against the MP3, especially in compressed or noisy sections.
