Long audio continues processing while you are away.
Return to searchable text with timestamps and exports.
Russian transcription, not an English translation
Select Russian (ru) to request original-language text in Cyrillic. This is not an automatic translation. Check borrowed terms, proper names and code-switching before publishing.
From spoken interview to searchable notes
Turn a permitted interview or recorded lesson into a text draft you can search by phrase or timestamp. Background music and overlapping speakers reduce clarity.
Proofread Cyrillic words and names
Verify people, locations, abbreviations, numbers and punctuation against the recording. Word stress is not always recoverable from unmarked written Russian.
Take the transcript into another workflow
TXT is convenient for notes; DOCX for editing and SRT for timed captions. Downloading SRT does not render subtitles into a video.
How to transcribe a recording here
- Choose a saved recording you are permitted to transcribe. Check the file-size limit displayed in this quick upload form.
- Spoken language is preselected as Russian (русский). Choose Detect automatically when unsure.
- Upload, wait for processing and check names, numbers and timestamps against the audio before exporting text or subtitle files.
Language-specific caution: Cyrillic names, overlapping speech and mixed languages still require review.
Free account: 60 minutes and 20 recordings per month, plus plan-specific file-size, job-length and source limits. An anonymous try-without-account flow may return a shortened preview rather than a full transcript. Transcription is not automatically English translation.
Have an accessible public media link instead of a local file? Paste the supported public URL in the main app. The main app has separate language settings; select the spoken language again there if necessary.
Frequently asked questions
Will the transcript use Russian Cyrillic?
Typically yes for recognized Russian speech, but spellings and names may still be wrong. Proofread important quotations.
Can I set Russian explicitly?
Yes. This quick uploader starts with Russian (ru); choose Detect automatically if you are unsure what language is spoken.
Does this translate Russian into English for free?
No. Original-language transcription and translation are separate workflows. English translation is an eligible paid feature.
Can I transcribe a three-hour Russian recording?
It depends on remaining minutes, per-job limits and file size. An anonymous trial may be only a shortened preview.
Can I export timed Russian subtitles?
Yes, export SRT after an eligible completed job, then check text and timing before using it in a video editor.
