Export transcripts from public recording platforms
Choose the recording platform first, then the file type you need. LongScribe must retrieve the actual recording audio before it can produce text or subtitles. Some links may not work due to account restrictions, site changes, codecs, or other media access problems.
These tools do not convert videos into audio containers. TXT and DOCX are text documents; SRT/VTT contain timed text, and JSON contains structured transcript segments.
One finished transcription can be exported in all five formats. An anonymous preview may not provide the full downloadable file. Free accounts and paid subscriptions have different limits.

YouTube to transcript file
Get YouTube transcript - choose format after processing
From an accessible public YouTube video. Private, age-gated, region-blocked and DRM-protected videos may fail; YouTube captions are not guaranteed.
SoundCloud to transcript file
Get SoundCloud transcript - choose format after processing
From a publicly available SoundCloud track. Private, unlisted or subscription-restricted SoundCloud recordings may require permissions unavailable to the public URL extractor.
Kick to transcript file
Get Kick transcript - choose format after processing
From a public Kick clip or completed VOD, not a live channel. Only public completed VODs and clips can be processed. Live streams, unavailable VOD segments, extended free-demo limits and damaged audio can prevent a completed transcript.
Spotify podcast to transcript file
Get Spotify podcast transcript - choose format after processing
From an individual Spotify podcast episode with available public audio. The episode must expose public podcast audio or match a separately public publisher RSS feed with high confidence. This is not for Spotify music, shows, tracks, audiobooks or protected playback.
Vimeo to transcript file
Get Vimeo transcript - choose format after processing
From a public Vimeo recording with speech. Password-protected, unlisted-with-secret, login-only and DRM recordings are not unlocked by transcription.
Zoom to transcript file
Get Zoom transcript - choose format after processing
From a reachable shared Zoom cloud recording. Zoom share links can require a passcode or account; a reachable recording is required, and public links do not bypass access controls.
Webex to transcript file
Get Webex transcript - choose format after processing
From a reachable public Webex recording. Private, organization-only, passcode-protected and disabled Webex playback links cannot be bypassed.
Loom to transcript file
Get Loom transcript - choose format after processing
From a reachable public Loom recording. Private workspace recordings, signed-in access and expired share links can prevent extraction; some public pages may still fail.
Which transcript format should I choose?
Transcript: start with readable speech and choose the export after processing. TXT: copy or search words. DOCX: edit a Word document. SRT: import subtitles into a video editor. VTT: publish captions alongside an HTML5 player. JSON: work with timed segments programmatically.
These are speech transcripts, not downloaded source video, MP3, slide OCR or automatically synced captions. Always review recognized text and timings against the authorized recording.
Already have subtitle captions?
Once you download SRT or WebVTT from a platform recording, you can convert or fix the caption file in your browser.
