Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg opened the Meta Connect 2026 keynote and hosted the event, introducing Meta's Muse AI assistant, live demos, and hardware updates across the Ray-Ban Meta glasses lineup. He introduced several other speakers on stage, including Andrew Bosworth ('Boz'), fashion designer Lindsay Jones, and a collaborator introduced only as 'Lisa'; a presenter believed to be Alexandr Wang (identity probable, not verified from this transcript alone) covered Muse's personal-agent product in more depth. Source · 01:08

Zuckerberg said Meta is announcing retail and service integrations with Muse (attributed to the presenter covering that segment, since that speaker's identity is probable rather than verified): Walmart, Best Buy, Gap, Sephora and Wayfair were named as companies integrating with Muse, alongside travel and productivity connectors. Source · 11:33

On hardware, Zuckerberg said Meta shipped what he described as its thinnest-ever Ray-Ban Meta audio glasses, and announced an update to the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses line, which he said would become available for sale online in multiple styles, including Ray-Ban and Oakley designs. Source & methodology

Built from a real, full-keynote transcript: router-v2 diarization (Sortformer + NeMo agreed at 4; 3D-Speaker required and used since Sortformer reached its 4-speaker threshold, found 6) merged with Groq Whisper ASR (word-level timestamps) via app.speaker_alignment.assign_speakers_to_segments, run on the production box against the official Meta Developers YouTube upload (no genuine official English captions exist for this video). 5 of 6 real speakers are named from actual evidence in the words -- a self-introduction and/or a named handoff -- never from diarization voice-similarity or speaking order alone; the 6th (probable: Alexandr Wang) is deliberately left unnamed in attributed claims pending stronger evidence. Product claims throughout are attributed to the speaker who said them (or 'a Meta presenter' where identity is only probable), never presented as independently verified fact. A small number of claims whose only textual support falls on a boundary-ambiguous segment were left out of the facts/topics above; see this module's NEEDS_HUMAN_REVIEW list. Full pipeline artifacts are committed under docs/ops/curated-transcript-sources/sep17-24-meta-connect-2026-keynote.full-run.*.

Mark Zuckerberg01:08Hey, welcome to Connect. What a wild time to be building. Delivering personal superintelligence is now within reach. Soon, everyone is going to have an extremely capable personal agent that understands your goals and can work 24-7 on your behalf to help you achieve them, whether that's helping you improve your relationships, helping you be more present with your friends and family, saving you time, saving you money, helping you create things, helping advance your career.

Mark Zuckerberg01:56The technology now exists to make this all possible. Now, it's no secret that people in the industry have a wide range of views about how the future is gonna go. But at Meta, we are optimists because we believe in people.

Mark Zuckerberg02:16We believe that the best way to create a positive future for everyone is to put power in people's hands. We believe that empowering people is the source of prosperity in the world that the highest purpose of superintelligence is creation and invention not automation and that the path to a safe future is to distribute this technology widely and create the right checks and balances rather than concentrating it in the hands of just a few.

Mark Zuckerberg02:46So what does it look like when all of this works? when every person can do more of what we dream and spend more time with the people and on the things that really matter.

Mark Zuckerberg02:58It's the simple idea that when you empower people, our lives get better. Yet this idea has become surprisingly controversial. I am more and more convinced that the reason why Meta exists, why we succeed, and why more people use our services than any others in the world is because we actually believe in people.

Mark Zuckerberg03:26Building is an act of love. It's how we impart what we believe. We pour our hearts and our souls into what we make. We struggle over the big details and the small ones. It's not always easy.

Mark Zuckerberg03:45Sometimes whole years are hard. But we build because this is who we are. And the centerpiece of our vision for what we're building is Muse. This is the personal agent that we shipped a few weeks ago that is already helping millions of people with all kinds of different things.

Mark Zuckerberg04:11And in the coming years, I expect that Muse is going to grow into the personal superintelligence that billions of people around the world are going to use to accomplish their goals and improve their lives.

Mark Zuckerberg04:23Now, I am really proud of the work that Nat and the whole team who worked on this did. Nat is an absolute legend, for those of you who haven't gotten the chance to work with him.

Mark Zuckerberg04:41And the team that's worked on this is one of the most talented that I have ever seen. So congratulations and off to a great start. The basic architecture gives every Muse its own private and secure computer The Muse Secure VM is extremely advanced and is ahead of anyone else in the industry The Muse Spark model is trained specifically to Excel as a personal agent.

Mark Zuckerberg05:12There are so many fun and novel parts of this experience, from the ability to set your goals, to having Muse share its own ideas for how it can help you, to having it research and generate its own custom feed for you, to that jolly and completely customizable character and personality.

Mark Zuckerberg05:32That little guy's name is Jolly, by the way. All right, Muse also has a novel business model. We believe that Muse will make you money. And we're standing behind this by making Muse free for a huge number of tokens with the expectation that over time, we will profit by taking a small fee from transactions.

Mark Zuckerberg05:58In the first few weeks, it has been really exciting and has brought us a lot of joy to see all of the ways that people are using Muse. In a moment, I'm going to hand it off to the one and only Alexander Wang to share more about this.

06:12But first, let's look at a few examples of what's been happening. My Muse's name is Lizzie. Joey. Chippy. Boba. Peaky. Grumpy. Toodles. Penelope Muse. Frank. I asked Lizzie to analyze my entire website. It tracks flights for me.

06:32I had it planned my entire girls' trip to Ojai. I told Muse I wanted my daughter sleeping through the night. And on day 10, she was. So it turned endless hours of work into a two-minute conversation.

06:42I'm an independent music artist. So I used Muse to create my own team for my next single release. I said Muse was my inspiration and it built me a brand kit. It felt like my creativity finally had backup.

07:04Hey everyone! It was only about six months ago that having a personal agent running on your own computer was the sign of someone who is completely AI-pilled and thinking nonstop about agents. But for that small group of nerds, which probably included many of the people in this room, it looked like the beginning of personal superintelligence And today with Muse we brought that magic to everyone Personal agents need their own secure computer So Meta built one for every person who uses Muse The Muse Secure VM is yours.

07:41It's free, it's safe and secure, and this is how you make personal agents for everyone. The default Muse is this little guy. He's super cute, and you can also make your muse totally yours.

07:55This product gets personal real fast, and people's imaginations are going wild customizing their own muses. Here's Euler, the super intelligent alter ego of my real life dog. Now Euler can go on walks, play fetch, and shop for me online using Stripe.

08:17And on the Internet, nobody knows he's a dog. One of my favorite things to do since we've launched Muse is seeing how people are using it. Every day, I see something new. Just before I came up today, I saw somebody who broke their mother-in-law's favorite China set, then had Muse scour the Internet, eBay, vintage sellers in Japan, everybody to try to find an exact match, found it, got it delivered, mother-in-law relationship saved.

08:47One guy had Muse help plan a weekend away with his wife. A week later, Muse warned him that it would rain on the days that he booked, so Muse moved out the dates. Disaster avoided by Muse.

08:58It saved a bunch of people money on car and home insurance. It hunted out refunds they didn't even know were owed. One person had to negotiate with their cable company through their online customer support chat, and it knocked $85 a month off the bill.

09:13Muse has been saving real people real money. Meta knows what it's like when a product is in the early days of crazy growth. And this one is, scientifically speaking, a banger. We just rolled it out in Canada and more countries are coming soon.

09:33And it keeps getting better. We launched the Muse Mac app last week. Give it access and it works across your files, messages, calendar, notes, and more. and it's state of the art dictation built in natively and big news today, we're adding computer use.

09:52Woo! With your permission, Muse can now drive any app on your Mac. You can have it help you run your small business or just get work done for you. You can walk away from your computer and it keeps working for you on all the jobs you've lined up.

10:13A lot of people wanted their Muse to have its own email address it can use to get things done for you. That's something we're developing now and it's also coming soon. You'll be able to add your Muse to an email thread or forward emails from Muse to handle on your behalf.

10:27Connectors are a big reason why Muse is able to do so much for people. We launched with a whole bunch of partners like Spotify, Open Table, Plaid, and Ticketmaster. And one of the great promises of e-commerce since the earliest days of the industry has been that it can save you money and time.

10:48Personal agents are going to continue delivering on that promise for a new generation of shoppers. and they're going to help them discover products they love and get great deals too. This is a really big focus for us.

11:01So we're building a bunch of deep partnerships with companies like Stripe and Shopify to enable a frontier shopping experience. Muse can access the entire Shopify product catalog agentically and use Link and now ShopPay to buy almost anything on the internet.

11:18And to help it be an even better shopper globally, we're adding more support for payments with PayPal. Well, we've been talking to some of the world's largest retailers about the opportunity here, and the response has been amazing.

11:33So I'm very excited to announce today that Walmart, Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Wayfair, and many more are integrating with Muse to enable new shopping experiences for their users. To help you plan your travel, we're adding a bunch of new connectors, including Expedia.

11:58And anyone who grocery shops online is going to love this one. Instacart is coming to Muse. And for getting work done, there's Box, GitHub, Granola, and Notion, and many more coming very soon. People want Muse to easily connect like this to any app or any business not just big brands So last week we started to open up the connector platform so developers can build connectors on their own And in less than a week we received over 1 applications with so many amazing names you all know and love.

12:41You can see some of them here. I think this could be a generational opportunity to start building for a new platform as it takes off. And the response so far has been really great.

12:54None of this would be possible without the frontier AI models we're training at MSL. We built them from the ground up to power personal superintelligence and be great at helping billions of people with what actually matters to them.

13:07So throughout the model development cycle, we focus on things that will matter to people using Muse. We optimize for agentic behaviors, like remembering preferences and personalizing actions, while maintaining continuity over time. Our researchers did a ton of work teaching agents how to choose the right tool for a job and how to chain actions across multiple apps and services while having the discretion to check back in with the user at the right times.

13:34The result is that Muespark gets better at giving people what they need from their personal agent with every iteration. And pretty soon, we're dropping the most capable model we've ever trained. It's going to help our entire model family get smarter and more useful for everyone, including the models that power Muse.

13:53You'll hear more on that soon. And with that, I'll pass it back to Mark. All right, thanks, Alex, and congrats. Really a ton of awesome progress in just a little more than a year.

Mark Zuckerberg14:10All right, we have a whole room full of new glasses to show you today. Each is a great-looking pair of glasses that gives you new superpowers, and each will be a new way for you to interact with your muse as your personal agent across your whole life.

Mark Zuckerberg14:32Why glasses? So there are almost two billion people in the world who wear glasses today, many more if you count sunglasses, glasses, and we think that in the coming years, most of these are going to get upgraded to AI glasses.

Mark Zuckerberg14:47We are excited about building other wearables, too, but we think that glasses are going to be the biggest category because first of all they already are And second they the only form factor that lets you let your muse see what you see hear what you hear talk to you throughout the day and display information right in your vision eventually.

Mark Zuckerberg15:09So this focus on glasses, building them as primarily an AI device, this has been somewhat of an evolution for us over the last few years. Because when we started building glasses, we thought at the time that the metaverse, this idea of bringing the physical and digital worlds together, we thought that that would come first and that advanced AI would come later.

Mark Zuckerberg15:34But now it is actually quite clear that personal superintelligence will not only come first, it will be much bigger and more important. So we have shifted our focus to building the best devices for personal superintelligence.

Mark Zuckerberg15:48Now, if you're going to interact with Muse across your devices, you are going to need a great voice mode. And our teams at MetaSuper Intelligence Labs have gone really deep on this. So we built a voice mode that lets you design your Muse's voice to be just what you want.

Mark Zuckerberg16:11We trained a whole new state-of-the-art real-time model that creates joyful animations of your muse as you were talking to it. The details here really make the experience. So in the grand tradition of Connect, let's try a live demo.

16:30Hey, cute Toga. Cute? Right. Let's get back to work, Mark. All right. I'm here on stage at Connect. Do you want to introduce yourself to everyone? Hello, everyone. I'm Agrippa, and I'm here to brainstorm and get things done with you.

17:07What should we build? All right, so let's bring up that project charm that I was working on before to design this fun little device so I can carry you around on my keychain. What's the next step on that?

17:19The hardware has been designed. You need to choose a final material for me to render in the lab and then we plug your new real model in so you can visualize me on the device All right can you go ahead and send me some options for the finish?

17:36I sort of like that elevated hacker aesthetic that we've got with the semi-translucent glasses design, and maybe we can adapt one of those ideas. And also, since now you're gonna be able to see through it, can you run a pass on rearranging the layout of some of the components to make it more aesthetically appealing?

17:53Working on sending you options now. All right. We'll come back to this later. All right. One for one. All right. Most of you have probably used voice dictation before, or maybe you've even had a voice chat with an AI assistant, but it does.

Mark Zuckerberg18:16It feels completely different when you're talking to an agent that is as smart as Muse. You can have a long, in-depth conversation with it, and it doesn't just ask you questions. It actually works in the background while you are talking to it.

Mark Zuckerberg18:30So last weekend, I was talking to Agrippa about an idea that my daughter had for baking something together, and it was kind of a wacky, far-out idea, but it helped us invent a real new recipe while in the background it went and ordered all the ingredients from Instacart so we'd have them ready when we wanted to sit down and get started baking.

Mark Zuckerberg18:51Now, you can make this whole experience a lot more personal by customizing your muse's voice. You can just go ahead and describe what you want. Faster, slower, more southern, more Australian, more pirate. I don't know, whatever you want.

Mark Zuckerberg19:08So I figured it would be fun to, let's hear a few of them. Howdy, is this the rehearsal? They're all looking at us. Is my hair okay? Can everyone please be normal for five seconds?

Mark Zuckerberg19:26Okay, okay. Let's all say hi at the same time. One, two, three. Hi. Hi. All right. So talking to your muse, it's often the fastest way to get things done. And it is also just really fun and cute.

Mark Zuckerberg19:47So that is being able to talk to it. It's one of the reasons why I'm working on that little handheld device that I was just talking to Agrippa about. But fortunately, we don't actually need to wait for that, Because we already have glasses.

Mark Zuckerberg20:03And in the coming weeks, we are going to start upgrading the AI experience on Meta Glasses so that instead of getting a single response to a question that you ask, you're now going to be able to say, hey, Agrippa, or whatever your Muse's name is, and your Muse will be ready to talk with the full range of the voice capabilities that we just showed.

Mark Zuckerberg20:22It's going to have the full context from everything that you've been discussing, and it's going to be able to do work for you in the background. Live demo two. All right. Hey, Agrippa. Okay, can you find me time to sync with Boz on that little handheld Muse device?

20:49Because I'm going to need him in Alan's design studio to 3D print some materials in the lab. I see 3 to 5 p.m. open on your calendar. Adding that now. Cool. Can you make sure that the 3D printers and CNC machines are going to be available then?

21:08For you? I'm sure they'll be open. That's the right answer. All right. All right. Now, of course, Muse isn't just about building. Although I think a lot more people are going to find things that they want to build now that it's so easy.

Mark Zuckerberg21:34A lot of people have other kinds of goals, too. And a lot of people's goals are around fitness. So we gave Muse to Nina Marie Danielle, an MMA creator who spends a lot of time around pro athletes.

Mark Zuckerberg21:46And she wanted to know what it's like to train like a pro fighter. So Muse on her Oakley Metas helped her out. check this out. Hey drama queen what should I eat Get the tempeh bowl It got 40 grams of protein and the macros you need for tomorrow What tomorrow You're halfway through, keep steady.

Mark Zuckerberg22:42Let's go easy today. Seems like you need the rest. Yeah, easy sounds good. Hey drama queen, I think I'm ready to beat my baseline. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Get the speaker by slap, yeah.

Mark Zuckerberg22:59Get that stuff to be here and that sound, yeah. 30 seconds left. Finish this interval strong. Hey, Drama Queen. How'd I do? Congrats. You crushed your previous time. Woo! I think that was too easy.

Mark Zuckerberg23:12Raise the stakes. Mark, you coming to train for week two or what? Yeah. All right. All right, it is really neat to see how quickly Muse can become a part of someone's daily life like this.

Mark Zuckerberg23:27All right, switching gears a bit. Given how personal Muse and the content on your glasses is, we designed state-of-the-art privacy and security into all these systems from the beginning. We built the Muse Secure VM to keep your information on your own secure virtual machine.

Mark Zuckerberg23:48And soon, we are also going to release the Muse Confidential VM so that even Meta won't be able to see that information. We have built several leading privacy features for glasses from the beginning as well, including the light that turns on any time that you save a photo or a video, and it disables capturing images and videos if the light gets tampered with.

Mark Zuckerberg24:17And now we are taking the next step, and we are building private processing for Glasses. So this will soon allow you to use certain AI features inside a secure server where nobody, including Meta, can have access to your data.

Mark Zuckerberg24:35And this is built on the same technology that we use to keep the AI experiences inside WhatsApp private. So we're going to start rolling this out soon for features like live translations that that people are already using to translate entire sensitive conversations, and then we'll progressively roll it out to more and more features after that One of the things that people love about Metaglasses is the audio You get this really high open sound system so you can hear the sound coming from the glasses without losing the ability to hear what's going on around you.

Mark Zuckerberg25:14So one question that we have been a little obsessed with is, what if the glasses gave you the superpower to hear what is going on around you better. Now I think that this is a really important problem because one in six American adults experience some form of hearing loss.

Mark Zuckerberg25:33They often don't do anything about it. Hearing aids can be bulky and expensive and a lot of people I know just don't want to wear them. So last year we took the first step and released conversation focus, which lets anyone use their glasses to amplify the voice of the person they're talking to in a noisy environment.

Mark Zuckerberg25:52We got a lot of great feedback on that. So now, I am really proud that we are releasing something that goes much further. Hearing enhancement turns your glasses into an FDA-cleared, over-the-counter hearing aid that can compensate for perceived mild to moderate hearing loss.

26:17And as we tested this out, it became really clear that this had the potential to be life-changing for a lot of people. So we want to share one of those stories today. I've been experiencing some hearing loss.

Lindsay Jones26:40For me, it's been gradual. My name is Lindsay Jones. I am a fashion designer. I work in a very fast-paced environment. Sometimes there's many voices in the room, and I need to dial in and really hear what's being said.

Lindsay Jones26:58I notice it mostly in my left ear. When there is background noise, I often cannot hear maybe every third or fourth word in a conversation. The hearing enhancement feature on these glasses can bring me into the present moment.

Lindsay Jones27:17Time with my kids is so major for me. Hearing what they have to say is so major I not going to cry I just don want to miss that growing up process with my kids Last night I had them on and I could hear my best friend telling a very poetic story.

Lindsay Jones27:43And instead of just seeing her, I can kind of bring in more sound in the left dear and be part of that moment in her life. I mean, I think that level of connection is really moving.

27:56I can only hope for life to get better and better, really. Lindsay is actually here with us today, so I want to thank you for telling your story. It is an honor to be able to build products for you, so thank you.

Mark Zuckerberg28:18All right, so now, instead of spending thousands of dollars on a hearing aid, people can just add the hearing enhancement option to MetaGlasses for a fraction of the price. You don't need to visit a clinic or go through the whole process.

Mark Zuckerberg28:34You just take a guided assessment using our glasses in the app, and then you can get your amplification tuned to your specific hearing loss. Enhancement is coming first to Metaglasses. And like all of our software features, we're going to roll it out more broadly soon.

Mark Zuckerberg28:53But overall, I think that this is a really big deal. And I'm really proud of our team for pulling this off. This is quite a technical achievement, and I think it's going to matter a lot to a lot of people.

Mark Zuckerberg29:04So thank you, guys. All right. So that brings us to this room full of new glasses behind us. So let's go to this. All right. Once you get used to high quality audio, open ear audio, it's just a thing that you want all the time.

Mark Zuckerberg29:30Your calls sound more natural. Your music sounds more personal. Unlike earbuds, it doesn't block you off from the world around you. So we thought about this, and we worked on it for a while.

Mark Zuckerberg29:41And we realized that we could actually design a whole new category of glasses around this. Audio glasses. So without cameras, This opens up a lot of new design possibilities. They can look like any other glasses.

Mark Zuckerberg30:09You can make them much lighter and slimmer. They have the longest battery of any of our glasses. They're going to last for a full day of use, whether that's using Muse throughout the day or listening to music or making calls.

Mark Zuckerberg30:23audio glasses not only let us ship the thinnest pair of Ray-Ban metas that we have ever shipped, we've also been able to refactor the electronics to support new styles like the iconic Ray-Ban Clubmaster.

Mark Zuckerberg30:40So style is important because if you're going to be wearing glasses all day long, Our mantra is they have to be great glasses first. So before we even talk about any technology, the design needs to be glasses that you want to wear.

Mark Zuckerberg31:06So unlike phones and laptops, people want different glasses because glasses are fashion. So your glasses need to match your own sense of style. They need to look and feel great on your face. And every face is a little bit different.

Mark Zuckerberg31:22So we've been working with our partners at SLR Luxottica to design the right pair of glasses for everyone. And beyond audio glasses, today we are also updating our entire lineup with Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3.

Mark Zuckerberg31:43That's this. So we've slimmed down the frame and temples further. We added adjustable temple tips to make them more comfortable for a range of faces. We've also added a whole lot more technology to these.

Mark Zuckerberg31:57The battery keeps getting better. There are new capture modes. One feature that I think is just magical to experience is the Dolby Atmos spatial audio capture. You can capture a video, and when you play it back, the audio sounds like it is coming from wherever in the room those original sounds were.

Mark Zuckerberg32:22And it really makes you feel like you there again Unfortunately it very hard to kind of demo this type of thing in a room like this but you all get a chance to check it out later after this The microphone also got an update There are now six microphones that can capture your voice in crystal clear, even in super noisy environments like when you happen to be taking a call on a jet ski.

Mark Zuckerberg32:50Who would do that? You can. It works. a wind tunnel. It's because the microphones are here. They're not in your ear, like earbuds. All right. We are also adding two more iconic models to the family, including for the first time the iconic Aviator and Xena.

Mark Zuckerberg33:08And to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Aviator, we were actually shipping a limited launch edition with the classic vintage look. This June, we launched our first line of metaglasses that we designed with dozens of different combinations of colors and styles.

Mark Zuckerberg33:45Today we are going to expand this lineup to 51 different style combinations, including for the first time ever, you are going to be able to get the Adventurer style starting at just $2.49. So this is one of our most popular styles of Meta Glasses, and we have been really hard at work to make this accessible to a lot more people, so I think that this is going to be big deal.

Mark Zuckerberg34:15All right, there are also two new frame shapes. We got Capri. It is a stylish cat eye. We've got Nova, which is a classical pantos. And we also have a new ivory colorway from Kylie.

Mark Zuckerberg34:38Working with Kylie has been great and a lot of fun, by the way. She had a lot of awesome designs that she put into her glasses. It was really cool to get a chance to work with her on this.

Mark Zuckerberg34:46And today I'm excited to share another collab that we have been working on, which is a new edition of Metaglasses from the one and only Lisa So everything here comes from Lisa world She helped design this custom case.

Mark Zuckerberg35:08We have Lisa's star on the temple tips. Every pair comes with a surprise charm that is inspired by one of her pets. The glasses also unlock new features in the apps. with the Lisa World design, and we also designed a Lisa World lens for virtual try-ons for her glasses.

35:27But now I figured let's take a moment to hear from Lisa herself. Hi, Mark, and hi, everyone at Connect. I wish I could be there in person today, but in rehearsals right now. I'm so excited about launching my new glasses in collaboration with Meta.

Lisa35:49I've always wanted to design something like this so thank you so much for this opportunity. This collection comes from my personal stories and experiences so there are two pairs to choose from. They also come with charms which were inspired by my own pets so I hope you can collect them and decorate them with the case.

36:14I can't wait to share these glasses with my fans in LA next week. So I'll see you there. Bye. All right. All right. I'm excited about those. I think a lot of people are going to like those.

Mark Zuckerberg36:30All right. We've also got an update for you on the Meta Ray-Ban display glasses. These were the first glasses that we shipped that come with full-color, high-resolution displays and, for the first time ever, the meta neural band for natural interaction.

Mark Zuckerberg36:47We introduced these last year at Connect. They've been in extremely short supply since and sold out for most of the year. But we are finally catching up with demand, so now they're going to be available for sale online at meta.com, and we are also, for the first time, I think going to start rolling them out internationally.

Mark Zuckerberg37:06So we're excited to get these in more people's hands. All right. So overall, by the end of the year, we're going to have more than 100 different styles of glasses available So there is a pair of glasses for everyone You can get the display glasses with the neural band to explore the future of computing Now there are ultra audio glasses with all-day battery.

Mark Zuckerberg37:38You can choose from some of the most iconic looks from Ray-Ban and Oakley, including now the Clubmaster and Aviator. And there is a range of great-looking metaglasses for everyone. More than 100 styles, really excited about this.

Mark Zuckerberg38:01All right. But there is one more pair of glasses I want to show you. So I mentioned earlier that Reality Labs is now focused on building great glasses for Muse and AI. And we made the decision to focus a little bit less on metaverse for now, build fewer VR devices, and only release them when we have real breakthroughs.

Mark Zuckerberg38:37This is a breakthrough. This is a breakthrough. All right, now, a lot of people agree that augmented reality glasses with holograms are clearly going to be part of the future. But we've also heard that a lot of people are less interested in wearing a headset.

Mark Zuckerberg38:54So we have built a new kind of VR device that delivers the same magical feeling of presence and immersion with high resolution displays and views of the world around you in a form factor that is a pair of glasses for the first time ever.

Mark Zuckerberg39:16And as a matter of fact, the form factor is so small that you probably didn't realize that it has been sitting here with the rest of our glasses in plain sight the whole time.

Mark Zuckerberg39:37Here it is. Meta VR glasses. . Meta VR glasses weigh about 100 grams on your face. That is less than one-fifth the weight of Meta Quest 3, which is already much lighter than Vision Pro.

Mark Zuckerberg40:26To put it in perspective, 100 grams is about the weight of a deck of cards. This is enabled by our split architecture. So it has the best display system that we have ever made.

Mark Zuckerberg40:47It is the result of more than a decade of work. The colors are richer, the blacks are deeper. And whenever we show this to people, it's the display and the quality of that is what jumps out because they just can't believe that something this thin and light can have such a good display.

41:09So let's check it out. So I start here, right? Press the action button. Okay. Holy mother of God. Oh, that's very cool. I really like that you say. It's light. this 100 grams of fantastic detail you could see every skin pore right these options did a great job of rejecting ambient reflections wow wow that's way out there look at that i'm very aware that i'm still sitting in this room with you yet i have something that is entirely immersive in front of me oh it's like you course i wow i never noticed we switched out on jaylen brunson on that play even if you're dead you don't have a disview this camera angle right here is insane you're like essentially on the mat inside the ockland oh look at the form factor look at the lightness i think it's cinema anywhere wow i've seen things i never noticed before right you could edit a whole movie just using the table oh man it is like a computer to have like a two or three monitor experience while you're able to be like on the go is so incredible whoa whoa whoa this supports displayport over usbc there's a lot of of people who have been asking for that for a very long time.

Mark Zuckerberg42:19Yeah. Wow. Oh my God, stop. And with the hand occlusion It rare that you feel something that feels like such a quantum leap over what else you experienced in the market How do you think of something like this Like how do you even think of something like this I think y figured it out with this one Oh, my God, this is like the dream.

Mark Zuckerberg42:38I'm inspired by, you know, what you've created. I like to see my work in these glasses. It's been really awesome showing this to people as we've been building this. There are a lot of reactions that we've seen.

Mark Zuckerberg43:03It never gets old. It never gets old. Meta VR glasses are built for Muse, too. So this is the first time that we have integrated an AI agent directly into the operating system. So now, instead of navigating through layers of menus, you just talk to it and say what you need.

Mark Zuckerberg43:25Every interaction can be done with a combination of your eyes, your hands, and your voice. You just look at something, you can use a small hand gesture to control it, you can do little finger movements.

Mark Zuckerberg43:40When you want to get work done, you can turn any flat surface into a really good keyboard and trackpad. We've all gotten quite fast at typing on it. Boz is over 100 words per minute now.

Mark Zuckerberg43:54Although I think the record is our CFO, Susan, got to 120 words per minute. All right. So MetaVR glasses. You've got a private cinema, a computer with multiple monitors, and a game console in a pair of glasses for the first time ever.

44:16Woo! And because we like live demos, let's hand it over to the ever-prolific Boz to show this in a bit more detail. Thank you, Mark. It's a pretty good way to watch the keynote, I will say.

Andrew Bosworth44:40But of course, watching keynotes isn't what this display was built for. This display was built for cinema. This is the first ever iMacs enhanced certified VR device. It supports spatial audio with Dolby Atmos, as well as Dolby Vision Bring up National Geographic Now you notice I pressed the action button instead of using wake word That's because I said the wake word last year, and I woke up every device in the building.

Andrew Bosworth45:09So I'm not doing that again. Now this is one where, as Mark said earlier about spatiality, oh my goodness, it's not the same for you. You guys are seeing a representation of what I'm seeing, but for me this is immersive.

45:21This line is all up in my business. This is not just around me, it is in three dimensions for me. And that is, I mean, it's very powerful. You can take this with you anywhere.

Andrew Bosworth45:33You can take it when you travel, you're on the plane, you're in a hotel. Take it to a dorm room, any place you want to have a private big screen, it's right here for you.

Andrew Bosworth45:41And that would be enough. But of course, that's not all. Bring up my workspace. We also made this a great computer. As Mark said, you can control the whole thing with your hands and your voice.

Andrew Bosworth45:57And we've integrated an assistant right here at the operating system level. This guy is mine. His name is Cooper. He is a test pilot. Hey, Cooper, you're on stage. Why don't you give the people a wave?

Andrew Bosworth46:13Isn't he adorable? Now, as Mark said, you can use any flat surface for surface typing and keyboard and mouse. I don't happen to have a flat surface, so I'm going to make Cooper do the work for me.

Andrew Bosworth46:27Cooper, can you grab those schematics Mark just sent over and merge them with the latest hardware rev from last night, and then render the whole thing in that material that we used for the fashion collab last year, and then you better grab an hour of my calendar tomorrow so I can prepare for that meeting with Mark, and then keep an eye on that auction for that camera lens we talked about.

46:44I want to know if that moves. Got it. Update schematics, merge hardware, render materials, block calendar, track option. I'm on it. The beauty of having someone at the system level is that he's not just able to do work for me.

Andrew Bosworth47:04He can also work and control the system itself. And I can, while he's doing all this work, you can see he's moving on it, I can do more fun things. Bring up Beat Saber Flux.

Andrew Bosworth47:15All right. Now we're about to attempt something relatively dangerous here, which is I'm going to attempt to play a video game in front of an audience I think I deserve a little credit for this All so some people give keynotes on easy mode I want y know I giving a keynote on hard mode Actually this is medium.

Andrew Bosworth47:39This is one of 75 hands only titles that are going to launch with the device and I actually honestly cannot keep doing this and keeping my score up and playing the game. So we're going to take that off real quick.

Andrew Bosworth47:53Thank you, thank you. Very impressive, I'm sure. All of this to say, VR gaming is alive and well on MetaVR Glasses. Not only do we have that hands-first title of the most popular VR game of all times, we also support the entire Quest library with optional attached controllers, in addition of course to hundreds of titles you can screen on Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Andrew Bosworth48:31And that's not all. For entertainment, the lineup is unlike anything else out there. Directors like James Cameron and Hollywood studios like Lionsgate are bringing a new wave of 3D. Yeah, give it up for James Cameron.

Andrew Bosworth48:42I don't know. I don't get to do that very often, so I'm going to go ahead. Later this year, in select countries, we're going to launch the Disney Plus app, which will show you some of your favorite films and new releases in 3D.

Andrew Bosworth49:01And the new Disney Immersive Cinema by ILM app will have VR enhanced movies like Marvel Studios' Avengers Infinity War and Star Wars A New Hope from Lucasfilm. There'll be new 3D experiences from Peacock, Paramount+, HBO Max, and you'll get 2D streaming apps from YouTube, Prime Video, Crunchyroll, and more.

Andrew Bosworth49:24It's pretty good. Yeah, you can play. I'm going to bring that same energy to sports. You can get the best of 2D and a ton of new immersive options. Now, we all know the difference between watching a game live and watching it on TV.

Andrew Bosworth49:40Well, with VR glasses, you can do both. All the subscription services that you already love will be available, so you can choose to watch games like you do already. But in addition, there's gonna be more than 100 immersive events every year that you can experience live, just like you're at the game.

Andrew Bosworth49:56You can even choose where you sit. We've worked with ESPN. to give you front row 180 degree views to a selection of live games at no extra cost. This all starts with college football this fall on Quest, and there'll be more to come next year.

Andrew Bosworth50:11There's also live events from Major League Baseball, UFC, TNT Sports, and NBC Sports. Now, so far, we've shown you all the ways that these VR glasses can deliver better versions of things you already love, like gaming, sports, and entertainment.

Andrew Bosworth50:23They also open up a new class of experiences at the intersection of wearable spatial computing and personal agents. Our teams have been exploring how agents can use mixed reality to augment your world and guide you through things.

Andrew Bosworth50:40For example, they built this demo that coaches you on how to play Mahjong turn by turn. This is something that I assure you is best done visually and not with somebody trying to describe it to you.

Andrew Bosworth50:52By giving the spatial computer to your personal agent, you unlock new superpowers for your that can help you as you go about and do things in the world. And you can do all of this socially with hologram calling.

Andrew Bosworth51:05As you saw earlier when I called Mark, you'll be able to call people and appear as a photorealistic hologram. And for the first time in VR these are full body holograms Yes I know We have finally solved the truly very hard problem of giving you legs in VR.

Andrew Bosworth51:24Now, we're bringing these holograms to MetaRabon display glasses as well. So soon you'll be able to join video calls from your display glasses and appear exactly how you want, no matter where you are or what you're doing.

51:37So that's it. You get a private cinema, a game console, and a computer, and they all come in the sexiest pair of VR glasses you've ever seen. Back to you, Mark. All right. Thanks, Boz.

51:58Congrats on everything we're shipping today. This has been quite a haul. All right. I think as cool as this looks, I think you're actually going to be even more impressed when you get a chance to try it out.

Mark Zuckerberg52:12But there it is. A private cinema, a computer with multiple monitors, and a game console in a pair of glasses for the first time ever. There's really nothing else like this. It is a glimpse of the future.

Mark Zuckerberg52:35We going to ship it in the spring give people plenty of time to get their content ready for it and it going to cost All right. We just went through a lot of products.

Mark Zuckerberg52:55I've got one more to show you. Because that little handheld thing that I was working on, it's actually real. We packed the whole Muse experience, including the whole real-time voice and avatar stack, into something that fits on a keychain and is always available to talk to you.

Mark Zuckerberg53:25You just go ahead and tap here in the fingerprint sensor in the corner and you can start talking without having to unlock a phone or open an app. So we've packed a lot of technology into this little guy.

Mark Zuckerberg53:40So if you're not wearing glasses, this is going to be by far the fastest way to talk to your Muse and to show it what going on around you We actually only built a few of these so far It been absolutely joyful to play with so far We actually do still need to finish the finalize the finishing material so maybe I look at what Agrippa and the team put together after this.

Mark Zuckerberg54:06And we do also need to finalize laying out the components. But we are planning to have this ready to ship in time for the holidays in December. So, I think that people are going to love this.

Mark Zuckerberg54:28We are calling it, by the way, we are calling it Muse Charm. And we are going to have more details to share on this one soon. All right. That's what we've got for you today.

Mark Zuckerberg54:40Thank you. Stay optimistic out there. The path to a great future for everyone is putting superpowers in everyone's hands to accomplish more than we ever could before. We're going to do that together. I can't wait to see how you use all of this to improve your lives and shape the future.

Mark Zuckerberg55:05Have a good night. Thank you.
